President Prabowo Subianto delivered a briefing to his cabinet at the\nPresidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, 8 April 2026. The Gerindra\nParty chairman opened his speech at the working meeting by discussing\nclaims of his government\u2019s achievements.<\/p>\n
In front of his aides, Prabowo discussed the accomplishments of the\nadministration, which has been in office for nearly one year and six\nmonths. \u201cIn our first year, it cannot be denied that we have achieved\nreal milestones of success,\u201d Prabowo said from the podium.<\/p>\n
He assessed that his government has achieved success amid a world\nfilled with uncertainty and conflict. Wars in various regions, Prabowo\nstated, have caused shocks to global stability.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, Prabowo claimed that his government has remained\ncapable of leading the nation. \u201cAlhamdulillah, our government, in which\nyou are all part of the government I lead, alhamdulillah we have been\nable to control the direction of development, the direction of our\nnation\u2019s state,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Prabowo claimed that his government has navigated the nation through\ndangerous matters. \u201cOver the past one and a half years, we have proven\nthat our government is effective, our government is reliable, and our\ngovernment can carry out state duties correctly and well,\u201d said the\nformer defence minister.<\/p>\n
Prabowo also revealed several sectors that he considers as tangible\nand measurable achievements of his government. Among them, he said, are\ngovernment programmes in the fields of food, energy, and water. \u201cThe\nbasis of statehood is those three things,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
As of this report, President Prabowo was still speaking from the\npodium to his aides. For this working meeting, Prabowo invited all\nofficials at the ministerial and deputy ministerial levels, heads and\ndeputy heads of agencies, to echelon one officials and directors of\nstate-owned enterprises. Hundreds of those officials arrived at the\nPresidential Palace on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
A day before Wednesday\u2019s briefing agenda, Prabowo invited several\nministers and agency heads to the Palace. On Tuesday, 7 April 2026, some\nof the officials seen attending included Coordinating Minister for\nEconomic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto; Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi\nSadewa; Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono;\nMinister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman; and Minister of Higher\nEducation, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto. There was also the\nHead of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN) Dony\nOskaria up to Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo.<\/p>\n
After the meeting on Tuesday, Coordinating Minister Airlangga\nrevealed that he discussed the economic sector with Prabowo.
