Jakarta (ANTARA) — President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed that
Indonesia, together with the eight Muslim nations comprising the Gaza
Board of Peace (BoP), supports a two-state solution as the path to
lasting peace for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

“We are naturally committed — earlier, several Muslim nations all
reaffirmed our commitment to truly achieving lasting peace, and the only
path to lasting peace — in several position statements by the group of
eight Muslim nations first invited to participate in this Board of Peace
effort — for us, the real and lasting solution is the two-state
solution,” President Prabowo told reporters after the Board of Peace
Summit in Washington DC, United States, on Thursday afternoon local
time.

President Prabowo and a number of Muslim leaders attended the
inaugural Board of Peace Summit held at the Donald J. Trump Institute of
Peace in Washington DC on Thursday morning.

The meeting, chaired by US President Donald J. We have seen the progress that
has been achieved. I believe the flow of food aid and essential supplies
for the people of Gaza is at its highest level in several years. So food
is sufficient, and other necessities are flowing in abundantly. Then we
looked at future plans, which appeared very serious. We are determined
for this to succeed, because it offers hope for peace,” President
Prabowo said.

The President said that during the BoP summit, he had reminded
attendees that many challenges and obstacles remain in restoring the
situation in Gaza.

“In my brief statement, I also reminded everyone that there are many
difficulties ahead, many obstacles, challenges — but we must be
determined to achieve success for the Palestinian people,” President
Prabowo said.

The President then called on all parties to remain vigilant against
groups that would seek to disrupt the BoP’s work towards peace in
Gaza.

“Naturally, we must be wary of groups that always wish to derail a
comprehensive settlement — they certainly exist on all sides,” the
President said.

On the same occasion, President Prabowo also expressed his optimism
regarding the BoP’s plans.

“The future for the people of Gaza will be far better,” Prabowo
said.
",
