        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia \u2014 President Prabowo Subianto said Indonesia\nwas being strongly attacked through various channels as its prospects of\nbecoming a powerful, developed country grew.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLadies and gentlemen, whenever Indonesia rises, our nation is\nattacked hard,\u201d Prabowo said at the opening of a plenary Cabinet meeting\nat the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (21 October\n2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe existence of the Indonesian nation is truly unwelcome to certain\nnations in the world. We have been troubled ever since we came into\nbeing,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo said this was because Indonesia was exceptionally rich in\nnatural resources. If those resources were managed well, he said, the\ncountry\u2019s potential to achieve its \u2018Golden Indonesia\u2019 vision would\nbecome much greater.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Nusantara is extraordinarily rich. Our wealth has been plundered\nfor years, for hundreds of years. I have already proved this to you, and\nthere is no need to repeat the historical data. It confirms that our\narchipelago has always been a target for the forces of countries seeking\nto take our wealth,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo stressed that the measures taken during his two years in\noffice were in the people\u2019s interests. The government, he said, must not\nbe too na\u00efve in dealing with the situation or act merely to please\nothers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are now being forced to choose whether to face difficulties and\nreality. The essence of it is to save the nation\u2019s wealth and the\nIndonesian people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>If the country simply continued with the old system, Prabowo said,\nIndonesians would never feel the benefits of the country\u2019s wealth\nthemselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur nation has been deceived, our people have been deceived, and our\ngovernment has been deceived.
