        "content": "<p>Indonesia and France relations are at their best ever, President\nPrabowo Subianto stated during a joint press conference with French\nPresident Emmanuel Macron at the \u00c9lys\u00e9e Palace in Paris on Thursday.\n\u201cYour Excellency, Indonesia-France relations are at their best ever,\u201d\nsaid President Prabowo.<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo assessed the bilateral relationship is excellent and aligned\non several international stances, attributing this to President Macron\u2019s\ndirect support. \u201cIn several aspects, Indonesia and France share the same\nstance, and our bilateral relations are currently very strong. This is\nsolely due to President Macron\u2019s direct support,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>President Prabowo said defence ties between Indonesia and France are\nstrong, with scientific and technological cooperation progressing. On\neducation, he stressed the Indonesian government aims to enhance\ncooperation with France, having instructed all school levels to teach\nFrench. \u201cNow I have instructed that all levels of Indonesian schools\nmust learn French, in view of future global developments,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, President Prabowo expressed appreciation for the warm\nreception extended by the French government during his delegation\u2019s\nvisit to Paris. He noted he has visited France three times this year.\nLast year, Indonesia was honoured to be invited to participate in\nFrance\u2019s National Day Military Parade (Bastille Day) on 14 July 2025.\n\u201cLast year, Indonesia received great honour for being invited to\nparticipate in the Bastille Day parade, the national day of the French\nRepublic. This is a tremendous honour, perhaps making us the first Asian\nnation to march in Europe,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>President Prabowo\u2019s visit to France this week was to fulfill a\npreviously delayed invitation from President Emmanuel Macron. The\ninvitation for a return visit was extended by Macron during Prabowo\u2019s\nlast visit to Paris last month. Macron had proposed rescheduling the\nvisit to late May, which Prabowo carried out this week. The state visit\nforms part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two\nnations.<\/p>\n<p>The ministers accompanying Prabowo included Foreign Minister Sugiono,\nInvestment and Downstreaming Minister and Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani,\nand Higher Education, Science, and Technology Minister Brian Yuliarto.\nAlso present were President Prabowo\u2019s son, Ragowo Hediprasetyo (also\nknown as Didit Hediprasetyo), and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra\nWijaya.<\/p>",
