The government is holding a people\u2019s bazaar and free entertainment in\nthe National Monument (Monas) area on Saturday (28\/3\/2026) as part of\nefforts to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with the community. This agenda was\ndirectly initiated by President Prabowo Subianto, targeting residents\nwho did not go home for the holiday as well as those who have already\nreturned to Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that this activity\nstemmed from the high enthusiasm of the public during the previous\nLebaran celebration at the Palace grounds. The government, he said,\nwants to expand that moment of happiness so that more people can\nexperience it.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt started from the high enthusiasm of the public during Lebaran\nlast week at the Palace. The President wants as many people as possible\nto share the joy of Lebaran in a warm atmosphere full of togetherness,\u201d\nsaid Teddy, quoted from the Cabinet Secretariat website.<\/p>\n
This event is not just entertainment but is also aimed at stimulating\nthe economy of small-scale traders. The government has prepared around\n100,000 shopping vouchers worth Rp500,000 that can be used to obtain\ngroceries or free goods.<\/p>\n
Traders from several trading centres such as Tanah Abang and Senen\nare also participating to strengthen economic circulation during the\nLebaran holiday period. Visitors also have the chance to take home\nvarious prizes, from bicycles to electric motorcycles prepared as\ndoorprizes.<\/p>\n
To attract more residents, the committee is presenting family\nentertainment to music performances by bands such as Wali and Bagindas.\nThe entire series of events will take place in the Monas Intersection\narea from afternoon to evening.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year\u2019s Lebaran is not just about tradition, but about bringing\nhappiness and togetherness for everyone,\u201d Teddy concluded.<\/p>\n
In the \u201cBazaar from the Palace for the People\u201d programme, Perum BULOG\ntogether with ID FOOD is preparing 100,000 staple food packages for the\ncommunity to be distributed at the Bazaar in the National Monument area\non Saturday, 28 March 2026.<\/p>\n
This Bazaar activity will run for 6 hours, from 3:00 PM WIB to 9:00\nPM WIB, with the number of participants reaching 100,000 people from all\nadministrative city areas in the Province of DKI Jakarta.<\/p>\n
In its implementation, 5 tents consisting of 20 stands for each tent\nor a total of 100 stands are prepared to serve the public, with an\nestimate that each stand can serve around 1,000 bazaar participants.<\/p>\n
The staple food package provided in this programme consists of:<\/p>\n
\u2022 5 kg of rice<\/p>\n
\u2022 1 kg of granulated sugar<\/p>\n
\u2022 1 litre of cooking oil<\/p>\n
\u2022 1 chicken<\/p>\n
