According to Prabowo, the Bandung spirit remains relevant amid\ntoday\u2019s changing global order, as Global South nations, which share a\nhistorical experience of fighting for independence from imperialism and\ncolonialism, now stand together as equal nations.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe in the Global South now feel that our voices are heard. Nations\nthat only recently gained independence, that fought against imperialism\nand colonialism, are now united as equal states,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Prabowo said that unity gives Global South nations greater strength\nto voice their interests.<\/p>\n
By standing together, he said, their voices can carry further while\nstrengthening their ability to safeguard and advance their respective\nnational interests.<\/p>\n
