President Prabowo Subianto departed from Jakarta for Japan on Sunday\nmorning, 29 March 2026. According to the Presidential Secretariat,\nPrabowo, accompanied by a limited entourage, took off from the\nIndonesian National Armed Forces Air Base at Halim Perdanakusuma, East\nJakarta, around 10:35 WIB.<\/p>\n
The Head of State\u2019s departure was seen off directly by Deputy Speaker\nof the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, State Secretary\nMinister Prasetyo Hadi, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and\nNational Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. Meanwhile,\naccompanying Prabowo on the flight to Japan were Foreign Minister\nSugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and\nCabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya.<\/p>\n
Teddy stated that President Prabowo is scheduled to carry out a\nseries of state activities during his visit to the Land of the Cherry\nBlossom. \u201cOne of them is that President Prabowo will make a state call\nto Japanese Emperor Naruhito,\u201d Teddy said in his statement.<\/p>\n

The visit is aimed at discussing\nbilateral relations with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung.<\/p>\n
Citing Yonhap, spokesperson for the South Korean President, Kang\nYu-jung, in a written statement said that the two leaders will discuss\npractical cooperation in various fields, including trade, investment,\ndefence and security industries, intellectual property imitation,\ninfrastructure, shipbuilding, nuclear energy, energy transition, and the\ncultural sector.<\/p>\n
Additionally, it was mentioned that President Prabowo and President\nLee Jae Myung will discuss ways to enhance relations between the\nAssociation of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and South Korea.
