Roeslani\npromised President Prabowo Subianto to reduce the rates to below 9%,\nspecifically to 8%.<\/p>\n<p>Rosan conveyed this to Prabowo during the ceremony for the handover\nof administrative fines and forest area land at the Office of the\nAttorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, South Jakarta, on\nWednesday (13\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo was furious upon learning that PNM Mekaar debtors with loans\nranging from Rp 2 million to Rp 10 million are charged interest rates of\nup to 24%, when they should be below 10%. These PNM Mekaar interest\nrates are widely used by micro and small businesses.<\/p>\n<p>He deemed this treatment unfair, as large entrepreneurs can borrow\nfrom banks at 10% interest. Therefore, he gathered the ministers and\ngave a special task to the Finance Minister and Danantara\u2019s CEO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow much, Mr Rosan, 9%? Rich people get 9%, poor people 24%. Is this\na Pancasila state? I don\u2019t understand. I gathered the ministers. I\ninstructed the Finance Minister and Danantara that this is a political\ndecision.
