        "content": "<p>President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has said his\ncommitment to the poor is very great.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur commitment to the poor is extraordinary,\u201d Prabowo said during\nhis address at the Plenary Cabinet Session at the State Palace, Jakarta,\non Monday afternoon (20\/7).<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo stated that his government places great importance on\nalleviating poverty in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>He outlined a number of his flagship programmes aimed at tackling\npoverty.<\/p>\n<p>First, people\u2019s schools under the Ministry of Social Affairs,\nintended for children from the poorest deciles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe total received is Rp4 million per month, KIP for 1.2 million\nstudents, assisted with living costs of Rp800,000 to Rp1.4 million per\nmonth, and exempted from tuition fees,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Prabowo said his government also runs a staple food card\nprogramme providing assistance of Rp200,000 per month, with the number\nof beneficiaries reaching around 18 million families.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNational health social security covers 96,800 million people, nearly\n100 million. That is 20 times larger than Singapore\u2019s and 3.5 times\nlarger than Malaysia\u2019s in terms of the guarantee we provide,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>",
