Let us jointly pursue\nindustrialization and optimize our resources and capacities,\u201d he said\nduring his address at the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, India, on\nSunday.<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo noted that global challenges such as climate change and\nnatural disasters must be handled together by BRICS nations and the\nGlobal South.<\/p>\n<p>As an archipelagic nation situated along the Pacific Ring of Fire,\nPrabowo outlined Indonesia\u2019s various vulnerabilities, such as rising sea\nlevels, extreme weather, and volcanic activity.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, Indonesia\u2019s natural resources also offer\nsignificant development potential, ranging from critical minerals and\nrare earth metals to renewable energy sources for clean technology and\nforests that sustain global ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must acknowledge the link between climate resilience and national\ndevelopment,\u201d he reminded.<\/p>\n<p>He then emphasized that Indonesia is not alone in confronting these\nchallenges, as BRICS members and many countries across the Global South\nare grappling with interconnected issues.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, Prabowo urged BRICS nations to collaborate on their\nrespective resources, production capacities, technological capabilities,\nand markets to collectively address these challenges.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the economic strength and resources of BRICS nations\ncould be leveraged to boost investment, strengthen industries, create\nmore jobs, and open up better opportunities for their populations.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, BRICS is equipped with resources and economic\nstrengths that could strengthen the bloc\u2019s position in global value\nchains.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBRICS essentially already has a supply chain in place.
