President Prabowo Subianto has stated that Indonesia has ratified the\nIndonesia-Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement (I-EAEU FTA) and\nis urging member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) that have\nnot yet processed it to do so immediately.<\/p>\n
In a speech at the 11th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok,\nRussia, on Thursday, Prabowo expressed a commitment to implementing the\nI-EAEU FTA, which was signed on 21 December 2025 between Indonesia and\nEAEU members, namely Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia,\nand the Eurasian Economic Commission.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndonesia has completed the parliamentary approval regarding the\nFTA, and in July, I signed the presidential regulation concerning the\nratification. Allow me to state our intention firmly: Indonesia wants\nthis agreement to come into effect and be utilised as soon as possible\nonce the exchange of notifications has occurred,\u201d said Prabowo.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith all due respect, I call upon every EAEU member state to\ncomplete its internal procedures so that we can benefit from this\nagreement as soon as possible,\u201d Prabowo added.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that the FTA serves as a trade architecture that will\nopen five markets for Indonesian producers and provide Eurasian parties\nwith access to more than 290 million Indonesian consumers.<\/p>\n
Specifically, an Indonesian delegation is present at the 11th EEF to\nagree on pilot projects, cooperation with buyers, secure logistics, and\nfinalise the necessary steps to utilise this free trade arrangement.<\/p>\n
President Prabowo Subiante also encouraged the strengthening of\ninvestment cooperation between Indonesia and Russia through Danantara\nand the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).<\/p>\n
Prabowo noted that Indonesia\u2019s newly established Danantara, with\nmanaged assets of approximately US$1 trillion, could serve as a bridge\nfor the capital markets of both nations.<\/p>\n
