        "content": "<p>TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto visited\nIndia to attend the 18th BRICS Summit. Prabowo landed at Air Force\nStation (AFS) Palam, New Delhi, on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 22.00\nlocal time.<\/p>\n<p>The Gerindra Party chair will attend the BRICS Summit which will take\nplace on September 12-13, 2026. This is the second time Prabowo has\nattended the BRICS Summit since Indonesia became a full member in\nJanuary 2025. Previously, Prabowo also attended the 17th BRICS Summit in\nRio de Janeiro, Brazil, in July 2025.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Presidential Secretariat, President Prabowo\u2019s\nparticipation in the 18th BRICS Summit as a full member is part of\nIndonesia\u2019s efforts to strengthen its active role in multilateral\ncooperation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis participation also reflects Indonesia\u2019s commitment to encourage\nthe formation of a more balanced, inclusive, and greater space for\ndeveloping countries in the global economic order,\u201d the release\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>The Presidential Secretariat announced that, during the 18th BRICS\nSummit in India, leaders of the member countries will discuss several\nstrategic agendas aimed at strengthening cooperation among developing\ncountries. The meeting is also expected to drive concrete steps to\nstrengthen collaboration in food, energy, development financing, and\ntrade.<\/p>\n<p>Cabinet officials from the Red and White Cabinet accompanied Prabowo\non this visit. Among them were Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of\nInvestment and Downstream Industry Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Higher\nEducation, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, and Cabinet Secretary\nTeddy Indra Wijaya.<\/p>\n<p>Several Indian officials welcomed Prabowo in New Delhi. Those waiting\nat the airport included Indian Minister of State for Coal and Mining\nAffairs Shri Satish Chandra Dubey, Air Force Station Palam Commanding\nBrigadier Rishabh Mittal, and Additional Secretary (South) of the Indian\nMinistry of Foreign Affairs Prashant Agrawal.<\/p>\n<p>Officials from the Indonesian embassy in India also attended to\nwelcome Prabowo\u2019s delegation.
