        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subianto has appointed two new deputy defence\nministers: Air Marshal Yusuf Jauhari and General Richard Taruli Horja\nTampubolon.<\/p>\n<p>The inauguration was held at the Presidential Palace in Central\nJakarta on Thursday, 15 October 2026. It began with the singing of\n\u201cIndonesia Raya\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony continued with the reading of the presidential decree\nconcerning the appointments. Prabowo then led the officials in taking\ntheir oaths and pledges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will remain loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of\nIndonesia and faithfully implement all laws and regulations in devotion\nto the nation and state. In carrying out my duties, I will uphold the\nethics of office and perform to the best of my ability with a full sense\nof responsibility,\u201d Prabowo said, followed by the newly appointed\nofficials.<\/p>\n<p>According to the decree, Yusuf will serve as deputy minister for\nlogistics, the defence industry and technology. Richard will oversee\nstrategy, doctrine and force development.<\/p>",
