President Prabowo Subianto has removed Dadan Hindayana from his\nposition as Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and appointed\nNanik S. Deyang as his successor. According to the Deputy Speaker of the\nHouse of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, the appointment is a\ncorrect move.<\/p>\n
According to Dasco, during her tenure as Deputy Head of the BGN,\nNanik has been actively working in the field. She is also recognised for\nher extensive monitoring of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme,\nwhich included closing kitchens that failed to meet required\nstandards.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn our view, the President\u2019s decision to appoint (Nanik S.\nDeyang)\u2014while being the prerogative of the government, specifically the\nPresident\u2014is likely the right choice,\u201d Dasco stated at the Parliament\nComplex in Jakarta on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Dasco expressed appreciation to the government for listening to the\naspirations of the public and programme beneficiaries. He noted that\nthis reshuffle follows evaluations and written feedback provided by\nCommission IX to the Minister of State Secretary. He expressed hope that\nthis reshuffle would prompt a thorough evaluation of the BGN to improve\nits operations and continue serving beneficiaries.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis change will certainly not affect the services currently\nunderway, and our hope is that the service objectives, especially for\nthe 3T regions (frontier, outermost, and least developed), can be\nrealised promptly,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
It was reported that the Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi,\nalongside the Cabinet Secretary, Teddy Indra Wijaya, and the Head of the\nGovernment Communications Agency, M. Qodari, read the appointment\ndecisions for three new BGN officials. Nanik S. Deyang has been\nappointed Head of the National Nutrition Agency, with Agustina Arumsari\nand Major General TNI Trenggono appointed as Deputy Heads of the\nAgency.<\/p>\n
Conversely, three officials were removed from their posts: BGN Head\nDadan Hindayana, and Deputy Chairs Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sanjaya.\nDasco explained that the leadership reshuffle was based on several\nobservations, including issues regarding governance, a lack of\ncross-ministerial cooperation, and other areas requiring\nimprovement.<\/p>\n
