        "content": "<p>President Prabowo Subianto convened Minister of Energy and Mineral\nResources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Investment and Chief Executive\nOfficer of Danantara Rosan Roeslani, and their respective officials in\nHambalang on Friday (4\/9\/202&lt;0xA0&gt;26).<\/p>\n<p>Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the meeting focused\non the progress of instructions regarding the restructuring and\nstreamlining of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President emphasised that the restructuring of SOEs must be\ncarried out in a measurable and comprehensive manner to create a\nstate-owned enterprise structure that is more efficient, healthy,\nprofessional, and capable of providing an optimal contribution to the\nnational economy,\u201d Teddy said on Saturday (5\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>According to data cited by Teddy, 290 SOEs have already been closed,\na move that has reportedly resulted in state budget savings of up to\nRp50 trillion. The streamlining process is set to continue, with a\ntarget of closing at least another 700 SOEs by the end of December 2026.\nIt is projected that this SOE restructuring could generate budget\nefficiencies of up to Rp100 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo, according to Teddy, reiterated that the restructuring of\nSOEs must be conducted thoroughly to ensure maximum contribution to the\nnational economy.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to receiving reports on SOEs, Teddy revealed that the\nmeeting also addressed increasing the added value of domestic natural\nresources. \u201cThe acceleration of downstreaming is a strategic step to\nincrease the added value of natural resources within the country,\nstrengthen investment, and create greater economic benefits for\nIndonesia,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>This meeting took place following President Prabowo\u2019s bilateral\nagenda and participation in the 11th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) with\nRussian President Vladimir Putin in Vladivostok, Russia, on Thursday\n(3\/9\/2026). During that meeting, the areas of cooperation attracting the\nattention of both nations included agriculture, shipbuilding, digital\ntechnology, and energy.<\/p>",
