JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received\na visit from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at Merdeka Palace,\nJakarta, on Friday (27\/3\/2026), to discuss global geopolitical\ndevelopments.<\/p>\n
In the meeting, the two national leaders also specifically addressed\nthe conflict in the West Asia region or the Middle East and its impact\non world security and economic stability.<\/p>\n

Anwar also affirmed that Malaysia and Indonesia share common\ninterests in strengthening regional cooperation to maintain stability\nand the welfare of the people amid increasing global uncertainties.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the increasingly acute global uncertainty, Malaysia and Indonesia\naffirm the need to strengthen principled regional unity to maintain\nsecurity, ensure stability, and bolster economic resilience for the\npeople\u2019s welfare,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Anwar conveyed that Malaysia continues to communicate\nwith world leaders to align views and examine global impacts,\nparticularly in the energy sector and regional security.<\/p>\n
\u201cMalaysia remains firm in its stance, rejecting violence, upholding\ninternational law, and urging all parties to return to the path of\npeace,\u201d said Anwar.<\/p>\n
