Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2014 President Prabowo Subianto has once again affirmed\nhis foreign policy position that Indonesia maintains friendship with all\nglobal powers and is committed to not interfering in the domestic\naffairs of other nations.<\/p>\n
Before a gathering of Islamic scholars, religious leaders and\ngovernment officials, President Prabowo explained that his approach\nrepresents the path established by the nation\u2019s founders.<\/p>\n
\u201cUnder my leadership and with all my assistants, the Indonesian\nnation is determined to maintain friendship and good relations with all\nnations, with all countries, with all powers. We do not wish to\ninterfere in the domestic affairs of any country. We respect all global\npowers, both large and small,\u201d said President Prabowo whilst delivering\nremarks at the Nuzulul Qur\u2019an commemoration event at the State Palace in\nJakarta on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the path indicated by the founders of our nation. This has\nalso been indicated by nearly all religious teachers from all faiths\nthat we will work very hard to maintain peace,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The President\u2019s commitment and his administration\u2019s dedication to\npreserving peace constituted one of the key focuses of President\nPrabowo\u2019s address at the Nuzulul Qur\u2019an commemoration.<\/p>\n
In the same speech, President Prabowo acknowledged that maintaining\nand preserving peace requires considerable effort.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course, maintaining peace is not merely through prayer and hope,\nbut also through striving, through hard work to achieve prosperity and\njustice. We recognise that peace cannot fall from heaven without effort\nand hard work from all of us. We have been blessed by the Almighty with\ntremendous wealth,\u201d said President Prabowo.<\/p>\n
After discussing peace, President Prabowo then sought the support of\nreligious leaders, particularly in maintaining national unity and\nintegrity.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thank the religious scholars, the religious teachers, the\ncommunity leaders. Let us unite, let us work hard, let us protect and\nsave all our people.
