The National Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP), Muhamad\nMardiono, inaugurated the provincial board (DPW) leadership of PPP\nGorontalo. The inauguration marked an initial step in party\nconsolidation in preparation for upcoming political agenda, including\nthe 2029 general elections.<\/p>\n
Mardiono stated that following this inauguration, PPP Gorontalo would\ncontinue its organisational agenda by holding branch consultations\n(muscab) across all regencies and municipalities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is already one harmonious step in our struggle. After this we\nwill continue with branch consultations across all regencies and\nmunicipalities in Gorontalo, targeted to be completed within three\nmonths in accordance with the party\u2019s constitution and bylaws,\u201d Mardiono\nsaid in a written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.<\/p>\n
According to Mardiono, this organisational consolidation was also\npart of the party\u2019s transformation efforts to face forthcoming political\nchallenges, including reaching younger voters such as millennials and\nGeneration Z voters in the 2029 general elections.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Mardiono hoped that the new leadership would enable PPP\nto regain parliamentary representation in the national parliament from\nGorontalo.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur hope is that under the leadership of Ismet, Gorontalo can once\nagain have a representative in the national parliament in the 2029\ngeneral elections,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the newly inaugurated Chairperson of the PPP Gorontalo\nProvincial Board, Ismet Mile, stated his readiness to carry out the\nparty\u2019s mandate and strengthen consolidation down to the regional\nlevel.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that one of the main targets of his leadership was to\nbring a PPP cadre from Gorontalo to sit in the national parliament in\nthe 2029 general elections.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur main target is to produce a member of the national parliament\nfrom Gorontalo through PPP,\u201d said Ismet, who is also a former Golkar\ncadre.<\/p>\n
The inauguration was also attended by Gorontalo Governor Gusnar\nIsmail. In his remarks, he expressed hopes that the new leadership would\nbe capable of strengthening PPP\u2019s role in regional development.<\/p>\n
According to Gusnar, with the inauguration of Ismet Mile as Chair of\nthe PPP Gorontalo Provincial Board, the continuity and sustainability of\nthe party in the region is believed to be maintained.<\/p>\n
