The Saudi Arabian Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) for 2026 is
implementing a numbering system for accommodations based on sectors to
facilitate Indonesian regular Hajj pilgrims in identifying their hotel
locations during their stay in Makkah. Head of the Makkah Work Area
(Daker) for PPIH Saudi Arabia, Ihsan Faisal, explained that the easiest
way for pilgrims and staff who struggle to remember hotel names is to
recall their numbers. This numbering system is specifically designed to
integrate directly with the division of 10 accommodation sectors in
Makkah. “The first digit indicates the sector, followed by the second
digit and onwards representing the hotel’s sequence,” said Ihsan in
Makkah on Saturday (25/4/2026). He gave an example: if a Hajj pilgrim is
assigned hotel number 132, it means the hotel is in sector 1, sequence
32. Similarly, if the hotel number is 222, the accommodation is in
sector 2, sequence 22. In total, PPIH Saudi Arabia has prepared 177
hotels to accommodate pilgrims based on embarkation points. These
hundreds of hotels are distributed across five areas: Syisyah, Raudhah,
Misfalah, Jarwal, and Aziziyah.
",
