Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Directorate General of Taxes under the\nMinistry of Finance has recorded 9,072,935 taxpayers who have submitted\ntheir annual tax returns (SPT) as of Wednesday, 25 March 2026.<\/p>\n
In detail, the number of employee individual taxpayers who have filed\nis 7,993,396, while non-employee individual taxpayers number 891,594 for\nthe fiscal year from January to December 2025.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the number of corporate annual tax return filers is\n186,216 in rupiah and 138 in US dollars.<\/p>\n
Separately, the number of taxpayers with different fiscal years\nfiling annual tax returns includes 1,570 corporate taxpayers in rupiah\nand 21 corporate taxpayers using US dollars.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, the number of taxpayers who have activated their\nDJP Coretax accounts reaches 16,830,447. This consists of 15,782,719\nindividual taxpayers, 957,078 corporate taxpayers, 90,424 government\nagency taxpayers, and 226 digital economy taxpayers.<\/p>\n
As is known, the initial deadline for individual taxpayers to file\nannual tax returns was 31 March 2026. However, Finance Minister Purbaya\nYudhi Sadewa stated that the filing of annual tax notifications (SPT)\nfor individual taxpayers would be extended until 31 April 2026.<\/p>\n
He explained that the extension of the filing period, originally\nending on 31 March 2026 for individual taxpayers, is due to the 2025 tax\nyear filing period coinciding with the long holidays of Nyepi and\nIdulfitri or Lebaran 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo until 31 April, extended by one month because of the holidays,\u201d\nsaid Purbaya at his office in Jakarta on Wednesday (25\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n
In addition, due to the long holidays and the Lebaran homecoming\nperiod in the midst of society, Purbaya said that the extension of the\ndeadline for individual taxpayer annual SPT filing also considers the\nCoretax system, which often still has minor issues related to\nloading.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome people experience that, so we\u2019ll extend it,\u201d Purbaya\nemphasised.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of\nFinance revealed that the plan to implement the extension of the annual\nSPT filing deadline for individual taxpayers will also consider an\nevaluation of public filings until the end of March 2026.<\/p>\n
DJP Director of Dissemination, Services, and Public Relations Inge\nDiana Rismawanti said that another option being considered is providing\nadministrative sanction relief if the 2025 annual SPT filing for\nindividual taxpayers exceeds the 31 March deadline.<\/p>\n
She stated that the 31 March deadline for individual taxpayer income\ntax (PPh) annual SPT filing is actually in line with the provisions in\nthe General Tax Provisions and Procedures Law (UU KUP). Under UU KUP,\nthe provision is a maximum of three months after the end of the tax\nyear.<\/p>\n
