Home Affairs Minister (Mendagri) Muhammad Tito Karnavian has reminded\ncivil servants (ASN) within the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri)\nand the National Border Management Agency (BNPP) to improve their\nperformance following the rather lengthy Eid al-Fitr holiday in\n2026.<\/p>\n
This was conveyed during the halal bihalal event at the Kemendagri\nCentral Office in Jakarta on Monday (30\/3). Specifically, Tito\nappreciated employees who continued to provide public services during\nthe holiday period, including regional heads who remained on standby\nduring the festive season.<\/p>\n
According to Tito, this aligns with the Minister of Home Affairs\u2019\nCircular Letter (SE) instructing regional heads not to travel abroad and\nto stay alert from one week before until one week after Eid.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thank my colleagues who worked even during the long holiday. And\nfor those who took the long holiday, consider it as recharging the\nbattery, healthier and fresher to face our long tasks ahead,\u201d Tito\nsaid.<\/p>\n
He also reminded ASN at Kemendagri and BNPP to continue assisting\nlocal governments (Pemda) and ministries\/institutions (K\/L),\nparticularly regarding the President\u2019s priority programmes. These\ninclude inflation control, economic growth, waste management, Free\nNutritious Meals (MBG), Red and White Village\/Urban Village\nCooperatives, People\u2019s Schools, the 3 Million Houses Programme, and\npost-disaster recovery in Sumatra.<\/p>\n
\u201cI also didn\u2019t stop two weeks ago with the President in Aceh, and\nlast week I spent almost three or four days travelling around North\nSumatra in disaster-affected areas during the holiday,\u201d Tito added.<\/p>\n
Tito explained that in the future, many things still need to be\nanticipated, especially regarding global dynamics that could impact\npetroleum fuel (BBM) supplies. This is because such conditions will\nrelate to the discourse on implementing Work From Anywhere (WFA), which\nwill be officially announced by the government.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow, colleagues must think. Don\u2019t think about what this\norganisation, Kemendagri-BNPP, will give to you. Colleagues must think\nabout what you can give to this organisation. The place where we all\nearn a living and gain status,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
After delivering his address, the Home Affairs Minister, accompanied\nby the Chair of the Family Empowerment and Welfare Mobilisation Team (TP\nPKK) Tri Tito Karnavian, shook hands directly with the ASN.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn behalf of myself, my family, and as the leadership of Kemendagri\nand BNPP, I once again wish you a happy holiday. Taqabbalallahu minna wa\nminkum, forgiveness in body and soul, and of course, I hope we will work\nbetter,\u201d Tito said.<\/p>\n
