Pos Indonesia (PT Pos Indonesia (Persero)) has announced a\ncollaboration with Universitas Terbuka (UT) to utilise its post offices\nas venues for online examinations across Indonesia. The cooperation was\nformalised on Monday (3 March 2026) in a signing ceremony attended by\nHaris, Acting President Director of Pos Indonesia, and UT Rector Ali\nMuktiyanto along with senior staff. Under the agreement, Pos Indonesia\noffices nationwide will serve as examination locations, providing exam\nrooms and various supporting facilities required by students.<\/p>\n
Haris said the partnership is a strategic move to optimise the use of\nthe company\u2019s assets while contributing to the education sector. \u2018This\ncollaboration is part of Pos Indonesia\u2019s efforts to maximise asset\nutilisation. By providing examination rooms in post offices, we hope to\nsupport the smooth evaluation process for Universitas Terbuka students\nin various regions,\u2019 he said. He added that Pos Indonesia\u2019s extensive\ninfrastructure network across the country has the capacity to support\nnon-logistics activities, including digitally-based examinations.<\/p>\n
UT Rector Ali Muktiyanto welcomed the collaboration, noting that Pos\nIndonesia\u2019s infrastructure support will help widen access for UT\nstudents to take exams more easily and equitably. \u2018As a university\ndelivering open and distance learning, Universitas Terbuka requires\nadequate facilities to ensure online exams run smoothly. The\ncollaboration with Pos Indonesia is a strategic solution because its\nnetwork reaches into many areas,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n
Support facilities: Pos Indonesia\u2019s EVP Enterprise Business, Dino\nAriadi, confirmed that exam rooms have been prepared to be comfortable\nand suitable for students. The company will not only provide exam spaces\nbut also ensure all supporting facilities are available so the\nexamination process runs smoothly. \u2018We are preparing exam rooms that are\ncomfortable with computer devices, a stable internet connection, and\nother supporting facilities. This will enable Universitas Terbuka\nstudents to take exams well, safely, and with focus,\u2019 he said. He added\nthat using post offices as exam venues is part of Pos Indonesia\u2019s\nservice transformation, broadening collaboration with various sectors,\nincluding education.<\/p>\n
Each examination room has a capacity of 20 to 30 students, with a\nminimum of 20 laptops or computers linked to the internet and with\nstable electricity.<\/p>\n
The cooperation is valid for five years, from 3 March 2026 to 2 March\n2031. The collaboration also strengthens the synergy previously\nestablished between Pos Indonesia and Universitas Terbuka, especially in\nthe delivery of documents and distribution of teaching materials to UT\nstudents across Indonesia.<\/p>\n
