        "content": "<p>Pop greats cancel S'pore, KL shows<\/p>\n<p>SINGAPORE (DPA): Pop music greats Elton John and Billy Joel<br>\nhave canceled joint concerts in Singapore and Malaysia, reports<br>\nsaid yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The stars' managers claimed \"unforeseen circumstances\" had<br>\nforced them to change their plans, the Straits Times newspaper<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>The two men have been performing concerts together as the Face<br>\nto Face tour since 1994. But John, during a solo performance in<br>\nManchester last month, reportedly told a 16,000-strong audience<br>\nthat plans for the show had \"gone down the tubes\" this year.<\/p>\n<p>The remark touched off speculation that the two old friends<br>\nhad fallen out, but shows scheduled for Japan, Australia and New<br>\nZealand on the latest tour have not been canceled.<\/p>",
