        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Chief of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo\nrevealed that Polri is currently preparing the Minimal Essential Police\nEquipment (MEPE) concept, or the minimum standard for police equipment\nthat must be possessed to support members\u2019 duties in the field.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSoon, at the moment we are also preparing the MEPE, how this becomes\nour hope that we have standards related to Minimal Essential Police\nEquipment. So, the minimum standard equipment that we must have,\u201d said\nSigit while attending the Polri Logistics Coordination Meeting for the\n2026 Fiscal Year at the Slog Polri Meeting Hall, East Jakarta, on\nTuesday (12\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Sigit stated that the standard is being prepared so that all Polri\npersonnel have adequate equipment support according to the\ncharacteristics of their assigned areas.<\/p>\n<p>At the coordination meeting, Polri also introduced various new\nequipment for personnel, including personal protective gear for members\ntasked with facing potential riots and conflicts.<\/p>\n<p>One of the demonstrated pieces of equipment was protective uniforms\nclaimed to protect members from arrow attacks in conflict-prone\nareas.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief of Police also inaugurated a laboratory to test the quality\nof Polri equipment, including uniforms.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Polri distributed around 430 operational vehicles,\nranging from motorcycles, electric patrol cars, ambulances, to flood\nresponse vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sigit, strengthening logistical support is part of\nefforts to improve the quality of Polri\u2019s services to the public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur hope is that everything prepared can certainly provide much\nbetter service to the public for the tasks carried out by the Polri\ninstitution,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
