Of course, they <br>\n(the police public relations officers) would deny such <br>\nallegations.<\/p>\n<p>It is my hope that under the administration of President <br>\nSusilo Bambang Yudhoyono all irregularities prevailing in the <br>\npolice services to the public can be addressed satisfactorily.<\/p>\n<p>Without any intention of underestimating police competence in <br>\nhandling various crimes, I would like to raise my own problems <br>\nthat have been put aside for quite some time.<\/p>\n<p>In Pandeglang, West Java, I was cheated by a notorious <br>\nswindler. In fact this criminal has succeeded in cheating <br>\nhundreds of people, but he managed to get away from police <br>\ncustody every time he was caught.<\/p>\n<p>He has not been detained, because according to the police, he <br>\nhad moved to Bandung and conducts his business there. Strangely, <br>\nthe police in Pandeglang did not ask the assistance of the <br>\nBandung Police to arrest the man. Eight months have elapsed since <br>\nI reported the case in April, 2004.<\/p>\n<p>The second case is that a Chinese businesswoman from Jakarta, <br>\nthe owner of Karya Prima Furniture in Jelambar, West Jakarta. She <br>\nstole my company&apos;s property, which she knew very well belonged to <br>\nme.
