Col. Amrin Karim, the spokesman for the North Sumatra<br>\nProvincial Police, said over the weekend that Simanjuntak was<br>\nkilled while riding his motorcycle in a village in the district.<\/p>\n<p>Two brothers, identified as Hasrul Siregar and Hendrik<br>\nSiregar, allegedly stopped the officer and asked him for a ride.<\/p>\n<p>\"Moments after they got on (the motorcycle), Hasrul pulled a<br>\ncable around Simanjuntak's neck from behind while Hendrik stabbed<br>\nhim with a knife,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>Police believe the motive behind the killing was robbery.<\/p>\n<p>The two suspects were captured only hours after the incident<br>\nand are being detained for further questioning.
