        "content": "<p>Policeman stabbed by staring strangers<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): A plainclothes police officer was stabbed by two<br>\nstrangers on Thursday evening for allegedly challenging their<br>\nstares.<\/p>\n<p>The mobile brigade police officer, First. Adj. Brig. Muwardi<br>\nHabibi Lahab, was taking his girlfriend window-shopping at<br>\nRobinson department store in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, when he<br>\ncame across two men staring at him, Pasar Minggu subprecinct<br>\npolice chief Adj. Comr. Umar Effendi said.<\/p>\n<p>Muwardi stared back at them but left shortly afterwards on his<br>\nmotorcycle.<\/p>\n<p>When he arrived at his police dormitory in Pasar Minggu and<br>\nwas about to enter the gate the two men he had stared at earlier<br>\nsuddenly appeared and lunged at his motorcycle so that Muwardi<br>\nfell off it.<\/p>\n<p>Before Muwardi had a chance to get up, the two men had punched<br>\nhim repeatedly and stabbed him in his back. The two men escaped<br>\non their motorcycle while Muwardi's girlfriend was left screaming<br>\nfor help.<\/p>\n<p>Muwardi was rushed to the police hospital in Kramat Jati, East<br>\nJakarta.
