        "content": "<p>The Sunda Kelapa Port Police have arrested two men suspected of being\nmethamphetamine dealers and seized more than 100 grams of the drug from\na rented house in Cakung, East Jakarta. \u201cWe arrested the two suspects at\na rented house in the Cakung area, East Jakarta, on Thursday (22\/7),\u201d\nsaid Sunda Kelapa Port Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Ery\nSuroto on Thursday. He stated the operation was conducted after his unit\nuncovered a suspicious methamphetamine transaction within their\njurisdiction. \u201cWe conducted an investigation and development that led to\nthese two suspects,\u201d he said. Officers found that a suspect with the\ninitials MR frequently conducted drug transactions in the Pademangan\narea and was arrested in the Cakung area on Thursday at around 8:30 p.m.\nWestern Indonesia Time. \u201cAlong with MR, we found 10 ready-to-distribute\nmethamphetamine packages stored in his trouser pocket, as well as a\nmobile phone and cash from drug sales. Officers searched the house and\nfound digital scales,\u201d he said. The suspect MR admitted to obtaining the\nnarcotics from a suspect with the initials WF, prompting officers to\nwait at the rented house. WF was subsequently arrested there, and\nofficers discovered one large package and one small package of\nmethamphetamine. Both suspects and the evidence were taken to the Sunda\nKelapa Port Police station. He stated the total evidence seized\nconsisted of 10 clips of methamphetamine weighing 1.95 grams, one large\nclip weighing 100.5 grams, one small clip weighing 4.94 grams, and cash\namounting to Rp1.8 million and Rp64,000 from drug sales. \u201cBoth suspects\nadmitted they had only distributed narcotics three times and used the\nproceeds for daily needs,\u201d he said. \u201cThe two suspects are charged under\nArticle 114 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics and\/or\nArticle 609 paragraph (1) letter a of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the\nCriminal Code, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 20 years,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>",
