        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Police have again uncovered the illegal\ndistribution of \u2018List G\u2019 hard drugs and psychotropic substances in the\nKalideres area, West Jakarta, arresting two suspects identified as JA\nand SM at two different locations used as fronts for selling the\nmedication.<\/p>\n<p>Kalideres Police Chief Kompol Rihold Sihotang explained that the case\ncame to light following public information about the free sale of hard\ndrugs disguised behind a coffee shop and a cosmetics store.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe suspects\u2019 modus operandi was to sell everyday goods, but behind\nthat they were also illegally trading hard drugs,\u201d Rihold said when\nconfirmed on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the investigation, police took action at two different\nlocations. The first location was in Semanan Urban Village on 13 July\n2026, and the second was in Kamal Urban Village on 20 July 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom these two locations, we managed to secure suspects JA and SM\nalong with a number of pieces of evidence,\u201d Rihold stated.<\/p>\n<p>At the first location, officers seized 75 Hexymer tablets, 19\nTramadol tablets, 6 Riklona tablets, 6 Alprazolam tablets, and cash\nproceeds from sales amounting to Rp230,000. Meanwhile, at the second\nlocation, police found a much larger quantity of evidence, including\n1,790 Hexymer tablets, 918 Tramadol tablets, cash totalling Rp1,037,000,\na transaction ledger, and mobile phones believed to have been used to\nsupport the sales activity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese drugs are very dangerous if misused. Their effects can cause\nhallucinations and have the potential to destroy the future of children\nand teenagers. Therefore, we will act firmly against anyone who tries to\ndistribute them,\u201d Rihold said.<\/p>\n<p>As the case develops, investigators have also named two individuals\non the wanted list, identified as AS, the alleged supplier in the first\ncase, and BN, the alleged supplier and shop owner in the second case.\nBoth are currently being pursued by the authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Rihold stated that the Kalideres Police are committed to eradicating\nthe circulation of illegal hard drugs in their jurisdiction, in line\nwith directives from their leadership. He noted that these efforts are\naimed at protecting the public, especially the younger generation, from\nthe dangers of drug abuse, which can damage health, cause dependency,\nand potentially serve as a gateway to other criminal activities.<\/p>\n<p>He also urged the public to play an active role in combating the\ndistribution of illegal hard drugs by reporting any information to the\npolice via the 110 hotline or directly to local officers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope that the Kalideres District can be completely free from the\ncirculation of List G hard drugs. This is not just the police\u2019s job, but\nrequires the support of the entire community to keep our children safe\nfrom the dangers of drug abuse,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>For their actions, the two suspects are charged under Law Number 17\nof 2023 on Health and Law Number 5 of 1997 on Psychotropic Substances,\nand face a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison.<\/p>",
