Police to question Sutiyoso<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Police will question Governor Sutiyoso as a witness
\nin the alleged misuse of a Rp 4.2 billion flood victim fund
\nmanaged by the Institute of Civic Education (ICE).<\/p>\n
\"The governor is required to spare some of his time for
\nquestioning on Tuesday, Nov. 19,\" city police spokesman Snr.
\nComr. Anton Bachrul Alam said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
He said, however, that the venue for the questioning had not
\nbeen determined. It could take place at City Hall or the Jakarta
\nPolice Headquarters, Antara reported.<\/p>\n
Anton said the summons for the governor had been signed by
\ncity police deputy chief Brig. Gen. Sunarno and would be sent on
\nWednesday.<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, the city administration held a charity
\nevent to raise money for flood victims. The money was handed over
\nto ICE, a non-governmental organization chaired by Irma
\nHutabarat. Most of the money, however, reportedly was never
\ndistributed to flood victims.<\/p>\n
The police have named Hendrawan, the organization's treasurer,
\nas a suspect in the case.<\/p>\n
Irma claims ICE has provided 411 students in the city with
\nbetween Rp 65,000 and Rp 90,000 a month.--JP<\/p>",
