        "content": "<p>Police to probe examination scam<\/p>\n<p>BANDUNG: City police say they are prepared to investigate<br>\nallegations that school administrators and teachers have been<br>\n\"fixing\" the grades awarded in relation to the national<br>\nelementary school final examinations in return for money from<br>\nparents.<\/p>\n<p>Bandung Police Col. Didi Widayadi said, however, that to date<br>\nno formal complaint had been filed with his office regarding the<br>\nallegations, which have been widely reported in the press.<\/p>\n<p>Didi said that tampering with examination results was a crime.<br>\nHe said that police would launch an investigation as soon as<br>\nmembers of the public had formally lodged a complaint with<br>\nthem.<\/p>\n<p>High scores in the final elementary school examinations<br>\nguarantee pupils automatic admission to the city's top secondary<br>\nschools.<\/p>\n<p>Many parents have complained that their children have been<br>\ndenied admission because they lost out to those who bought their<br>\nmarks from certain schools.
