Police to improve Imron's case file<\/p>\n
DENPASAR, Bali: The police team investigating last year's
\nbombings in Bali will send a special unit to trace and collect
\nevidence and left in East Kalimantan by suspect Ali Imron, team
\nspokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Yatim Suyatmo said on Saturday.<\/p>\n
\"The special officers are scheduled to leave on Monday with
\nthe hope that they will be able to collect new evidence to
\ncomplete Ali Imron's case file,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Ali Imron was arrested at his hiding place on a tiny island in
\nEast Kalimantan on Jan. 13 or three months after the bombings on
\nOct. 12 last year. He was arrested along with 14 of his friends,
\nincluding Utomo Pamungkas alias Mubarok.<\/p>\n
Suyatmo said police believed Imron, the suspected assembler of
\nthe bombs used in Bali, had left some evidence there and also
\nstill had some friends there.<\/p>\n
Regarding witnesses, Suyatmo said the police would be
\nselective, adding that witnesses who possessed information
\nrelevant to the case would be taken to Bali.<\/p>\n
The Bali Prosecutor's Office recently returned Ali Imron's
\ncase files compiled by the police for correction and improvement.
