Jakarta \u2014 The Task Force on Price Violations, Food Safety and Quality\nof the Jakarta Metro Police discovered several food commodities still\nbeing sold above the Maximum Retail Price (HET) during market\ninspections conducted in March 2026.<\/p>\n
The findings were disclosed by AKBP Muh Ardila Amry, Head of\nSubdivision 1 of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate\n(Ditreskrimsus) of the Jakarta Metro Police, during an online analysis\nand evaluation meeting of the task force held on Monday.<\/p>\n
It was explained that red bird\u2019s eye chillies across nearly all\ninspection areas were still being sold above the HET. \u201cThis requires our\ncollective attention to urgently find solutions to stabilise prices in\nthe market,\u201d Ardila stated.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the task force also discovered traders still selling\nMinyakita cooking oil above the government-set price. Meanwhile, for\nconsumer sugar, four areas were recorded as selling above the regulated\nprice.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the evaluation also highlighted the sale of live poultry\nby slaughterhouses (RPH) that did not comply with regulations.\n\u201cSlaughterhouses are not permitted to sell poultry in live form. If\nviolations are still found, we have already issued warning letters to\nthe relevant parties,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
As a monitoring measure, the task force also intervened in markets by\nplacing guidance stickers showing the reference selling price (HAP) or\nHET to traders.<\/p>\n
For traders proven to be selling commodities above the determined\nprice, officers issue a statement letter accompanied by placing warning\nstickers on the relevant shop or kiosk.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf traders have a business identification number (NIB) and continue\nselling above the HAP or HET, we will recommend licence revocation to\nthe One-Stop Investment and Administrative Service Centre (DPMPTSP),\u201d he\nstressed.<\/p>\n
The Jakarta Metro Police Food Task Force will continue conducting\nmarket inspections to ensure price stability and protect the public from\nsales practices violating government regulations.<\/p>\n
