Police suspect that the founder of the Tahfidzul Qur\u2019an Ndolo Kusumo\nIslamic boarding school (ponpes), who is also the suspect in the alleged\nharassment of female students (santriwati) with initials AS, is no\nlonger in Pati, Central Java.<\/p>\n
Wakasat Reskrim Polresta Pati AKP Iswantoro stated that AS is\nbelieved to have moved locations without informing family or legal\nadvisors.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe suspect\u2019s whereabouts are still being searched for. There are\nindications that the individual is not in Pati and has not contacted\nanyone,\u201d said Iswantoro in his statement on Wednesday (6\/5).<\/p>\n
Iswantoro hopes AS will be cooperative and attend the second\nexamination summons as a suspect on Thursday (7\/5).<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have scheduled the second summons for 7 May. We hope the\nindividual will attend and be cooperative,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, regarding the number of victims, Iswantoro\nconveyed that the official report received so far is only from one\ncomplainant, namely the victim\u2019s parent. Meanwhile, several other\nchildren are still witnesses in the investigation process.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe official report currently is only one, from the victim\u2019s parent.\nThe others are still witnesses, although previously there were five who\ngave statements,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
Iswantoro also revealed that some witnesses have withdrawn their\nstatements. Therefore, investigators continue to delve into the facts to\nstrengthen the evidence.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are still examining the existing statements. Some witnesses have\nindeed withdrawn their statements, but the investigation process\ncontinues,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Polresta Pati is opening wide opportunities for the\npublic who feel they are victims to report. In addition, a complaint\npost has been prepared to facilitate the reporting process.<\/p>\n

Previously, AS, the founder of the pesantren in Pati, had to face the\nlaw after being officially named a suspect in the alleged rape of dozens\nof female students.<\/p>\n
AS is known to have founded the ponpes located in Tlogowungu\nSubdistrict, Pati, in 2021. The ponpes currently has 252 students, 112\nof whom are female students.<\/p>\n
The alleged harassment case came to light after a graduate victim\nspoke out about the indecent treatment from the suspect. The report was\nfiled by the victim to the Pati Regency Social Service, Women\u2019s\nEmpowerment, Child Protection, and Family Planning Office (Dinsos P3AKB)\nin September 2024.<\/p>\n
The case was also reported to the authorities. However, more than a\nyear passed with no developments in the legal process.<\/p>\n
Head of UPTD Protection for Women and Children (PPA), Hartono, stated\nthat only on Monday (27\/4) did the police finally conduct a crime scene\nexamination. There were four locations for the crime scene processing,\nsuch as the girls\u2019 dormitory, learning room, and two kiai rooms.<\/p>\n
