        "content": "<p>Police still hunting suspect in student kidnapping<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Police are still hunting for one of three <br>\nsuspects in the kidnapping of a school girl on July 26. The girl <br>\nis a daughter of a secretary at the North Jakarta District Court.<\/p>\n<p>A police detective at the North Jakarta police precinct <br>\nconfirmed that two suspects, identified only as As, 34, and Gn, <br>\n25, have been arrested.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The other, identified as An, is still at large,&quot; the <br>\ndetective, who requested anonymity, told The Jakarta Post over <br>\nthe weekend.<\/p>\n<p>According to the detective, the men kidnapped 9-year-old Ridha <br>\nFirli Tendri just as she was leaving her school in Manggarai, <br>\nSouth Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>While the alleged kidnappers moved Ridha around the city, <br>\nanother person called her mother, demanding Rp 20 million <br>\n(US$8,510) in ransom money.<\/p>\n<p>The kidnapper who rang Ridha&apos;s mother, Nursiah Ibrahim, at her <br>\noffice, said the money should be transferred to a bank account at <br>\nBank International Indonesia&apos;s branch in East Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>After receiving the call, Nursiah reported the kidnapping to <br>\nthe North Jakarta police.<\/p>\n<p>As suggested by the police, Nursiah fulfilled the kidnappers&apos; <br>\ndemand by transferring the money to the account.<\/p>\n<p>The kidnappers released her daughter that evening in front of <br>\nthe bank.<\/p>\n<p>On July 30, the police received a report from an employee of <br>\nbank&apos;s Depok branch, saying that a man was going to make a <br>\nwithdrawal from an account which matched the number given by <br>\nNursiah.<\/p>\n<p>The police went to the bank and apprehended As.<\/p>\n<p>The other men, who were waiting in a car in the parking lot,  <br>\nescaped.<\/p>\n<p>Gn was arrested early in the morning on July 31 in his car in <br>\nBandung, West Java.<\/p>\n<p>According to the police, the other man, An, who is believed to <br>\nbe the mastermind of the kidnapping, is a relative of Nursiah.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, another child kidnapping reported in South Jakarta <br>\nturned out to be the result of a dispute between a divorced <br>\ncouple.<\/p>\n<p>Six-year-old Jesslyn Araminta, also known as Intan, who had <br>\nearlier been reported to have been kidnapped by her father&apos;s <br>\nhousemaid, was found safe and sound at her mother&apos;s house on Jl. <br>\nTendean in South Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Intan&apos;s father I. Nyoman Budayasa told Kompas on Saturday his <br>\ndaughter had left his house on Jl. Ngurah Rai Tabanan, Bali, on <br>\nFriday. He said he suspected that the girl had been kidnapped by <br>\nhis housemaid Kasanah, who hails from Nganjuk, East Java.<\/p>\n<p>But on Friday Ruhut Sitompul, the lawyer of Intan&apos;s mother, <br>\nTitik Nurhayati, confirmed that the girl was now staying with <br>\nTitik, who is divorced from Budayasa.<\/p>\n<p>Ruhut said when the couple divorced, the court had decided <br>\nthat the children, Carisssa Kumala Dewi, 8, and Intan would be in <br>\nthe custody of their mother instead of their father.<\/p>\n<p>Budayasa refused to obey the court&apos;s decision, prohibiting his <br>\ndaughters from living with their mother, Ruhut said.(jun\/bas)<\/p>",
