Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba)\nof the National Police Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) on\nFriday (24 July) moved a number of Whip Pink branded N2O gas canisters\nfrom a warehouse in Pademangan, North Jakarta, to the National Police\nBrimob warehouse in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java, for seizure.<\/p>\n
The transfer was carried out to secure evidence in the case of\nillegal Whip Pink gas production uncovered by the National Police.<\/p>\n
Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Eko\nHadi Santoso, explained in Jakarta on Saturday that the transfer process\nhad been carried out by his personnel since Friday (24 July)\nmorning.<\/p>\n
He said they had been at the warehouse location to load all the\nevidence onto trucks.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt 09.15 Western Indonesia Time, all Whip Pink canisters of various\nsizes, production machines and other supporting equipment for producing\nN2O gas were loaded onto the trucks,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Police recorded 71 seized items, ranging from gas canisters to\nsupporting equipment used to make the Whip Pink product.<\/p>\n
After being loaded onto trucks, personnel immediately transported all\nthe evidence to the Brimob warehouse. Personnel arrived at the location\nat 16.40 Western Indonesia Time and began moving the evidence into the\nBrimob Cikeas warehouse.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy 18.15 Western Indonesia Time, all the evidence had been unloaded\nand placed in the storage warehouse. It was then locked and guarded by\nBrimob Kelapa Dua Cikeas personnel,\u201d Eko said.<\/p>\n
He assured that all the evidence would be tightly guarded by Brimob\nCikeas personnel.<\/p>\n
It is known that in April 2026, the Dittipidnarkoba of Bareskrim\nPolri successfully uncovered a factory producing N2O gas under the Whip\nPink brand in Jakarta.<\/p>\n
From the interrogation of nine witnesses secured during the\noperation, it was revealed that the producer, PT SSS, did not yet hold\nlegality or BPOM distribution permits relating to the production and\nsale of the Whip Pink N2O gas product.<\/p>\n
In addition, it was found that the owners of the production site and\nWhip Pink shipping warehouse were AH, SC and JH. The Whip Pink\nwarehouses are located in 10 cities, with 16 warehouse points ranging\nfrom Jakarta, the Special Region of Yogyakarta, to Lombok, West Nusa\nTenggara.<\/p>\n
During the investigation process, the Dittipidnarkoba questioned\nseveral social media influencers who had used Whip Pink. One influencer\nwith the initials AM admitted to experiencing temporary paralysis.<\/p>\n
Eko said AM lost control of parts of his body, particularly his legs,\nwhile being rushed to hospital.<\/p>\n
According to him, this was consistent with expert testimony from the\nIndonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) regarding the effects of direct\nN2O gas use without strict supervision by medical professionals, namely\nthat it can result in peripheral neuropathy.<\/p>\n
He continued that the disease involves damage to the peripheral\nnerves outside the brain, with symptoms including numbness, tingling and\nloss of coordination.<\/p>\n
