        "content": "<p>REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA \u2014 The Head of the National Police\u2019s\nAnti-Corruption Task Force (Kortas Tipidkor), Inspector General Totok\nSuharyanto, explained that Wednesday evening\u2019s searches at the De Clan\nSignature restaurant and Koin Money Changer were part of similar police\noperations at eight separate locations across Jakarta and West Java. The\nsearches are also suspected to be linked to the reinforcement of TNI\ntroops at the residence of the Deputy Attorney General for Special\nCrimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Andriansyah.<\/p>\n<p>The two searched locations are situated on Jalan Cipete, Cilandak,\nSouth Jakarta, since Wednesday afternoon (8\/7\/2026). According to Totok,\nthe search at the restaurant was connected to a joint police\ninvestigation into a coal governance corruption case.<\/p>\n<p>From the searches at the De Clan restaurant and Koin Money Changer,\nthe investigative team found several items of evidence in the form of\nsafes. Inside the safes were amounts of cash in US and Singaporean\ndollar denominations. However, the police have not yet calculated the\ntotal converted value of the money found at the two locations.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation is also linked to the recent blackouts that\noccurred in several regions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKortas Polri is currently carrying out a joint investigation scheme\nwith the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan\nPolice in handling corruption and money laundering in legal process\nhandling,\u201d said Totok on Wednesday (8\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the corruption case related to the blackouts, the\njoint police investigation is also probing corruption cases involving\nASABRI and Jiwasraya between 2020 and 2025. \u201cIt is also related to a\nmoney laundering case in the settlement of PT CBS\u2019s debt to PT KNI,\nwhich occurred within the jurisdiction of the Jakarta Metropolitan\nPolice,\u201d said Totok.<\/p>\n<p>The Director of Criminal Investigation at the Jakarta Metropolitan\nPolice, Chief Commissioner Victor Dean Mackbon, added that during the\ninvestigation, the police team found indications of involvement by state\nofficials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe steps we are taking today are efforts to secure evidence at\napproximately eight locations,\u201d he said.
