Police seek man for cheating<\/p>\n
TANGERANG (JP): Tangerang Police are attempting to locate the
\nwhereabouts of labor exporting firm PT Bina Setia Copora chairman
\nChung Ta, who is wanted for allegedly bilking job seekers out of
\nup to Rp 1 billion (US$147,058).<\/p>\n
Tangerang Police detective chief Capt. Krisnandi said on
\nSaturday it was better for Chung Ta, alias Hartono, to surrender
\nor stern action would be taken against him. \"We hope that Hartono
\nsurrenders soon.\"<\/p>\n
Police data showed that hundreds of job seekers from Sukabumi,
\nWest Java, paid Hartono between Rp 10 million and Rp 20 million
\neach to find them employment in Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei.<\/p>\n
Wati said on Saturday her parents sold a number of their cows
\nto pay Hartono Rp 10 million for her travel costs to Singapore.<\/p>\n
\"I cannot go back to the village and face my parents because
\nI'm ashamed. They sold cows for me,\" she said. \"I hope the
\ncheater is punished heavily.\"<\/p>\n
Hartono's elder brother, Anton, told the police he did not
\nknow anything about his brother's business.<\/p>\n
\"I visited him (Hartono) frequently at work, but I didn't
