Police security heightened for Bambu Apus murder case<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): East Jakarta authorities will deploy more than
\n100 police and military servicemen to guard the trial of the
\nsuspected murderers of a woman and three children.<\/p>\n
\"Many security officers are ready to guard the court session,\"
\nMayor Sudarsono said while inspecting the East Jakarta District
\nCourt yesterday.<\/p>\n
The mayor was accompanied by East Jakarta Military District
\nCommander Lt. Col. Dody Sudarno and chief of the East Jakarta
\nprosecutors' office Lukman Bachmid.<\/p>\n
The East Jakarta District Court will try five suspects,
\nincluding Philipus Kia Lanjar, his wife Suparmi, his sons
\nAlbertus and Lambertus and his nephew Clemence.<\/p>\n
The five suspects will be tried separately, starting tomorrow,
\nby three panels of judges, led by Judge Sunarto, Judge Tojib
\nMatderis and Judge Farida Achmad.<\/p>\n
The first panel will try Philipus Kia Lanjar, 44, the prime
\nsuspect of the multiple murder.<\/p>\n
The second panel will try Philipus' wife, Suparmi, 41. The
\nthird panel will try Philipus' sons and nephew, Albertus, 15,
\nLambertus, 12, and Clemence, 13.<\/p>\n

\nSimandjuntak said that the court would handle the case as usual.<\/p>\n
However, the security officers will tighten security at the
\ncourt to prevent public anger getting out of hand, he said.<\/p>\n
The security officers will frisk visitors and exchange their
\nID cards for visitor cards, he added.<\/p>\n
Simandjuntak appealed to the public not to be emotional.
\n\"Trust the court process. Indonesia is state governed by the rule
\nof law.\"<\/p>\n
The killing of Rohadi's wife Ely Kusnaely and three children,
\nGilang M. Fauzi, Citra Utami and Rizky Wahyu Ramadhan in Bambu
\nApus on Oct. 2. sparked public anger resulting in Philipus' house
\nbeing destroyed by a mob.<\/p>\n
A reconstruction of the murder was done in December also under
\ntight guard of more than 100 police and military servicemen. (29)<\/p>",
