Jakarta police have revealed that a robbery and stabbing of a man\nwith the initials MHA (30) on Jalan Pati, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on\nTuesday (16\/6\/2026) was allegedly linked to a premeditated murder. The\nincident was said to be a scenario created by a female colleague with\nthe initials USP (31) to carry out an attempted murder.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe articles applied are Article 466 concerning maltreatment and\nArticle 459 in conjunction with Article 17 paragraph 1, or attempted\nmurder with planning,\u201d said Central Jakarta Police Criminal\nInvestigation Unit Head AKBP Roby Heri Saputra during a press conference\nat the Central Jakarta Metro Police on Friday (19\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
Roby stated that his office initially received a report from the\nMenteng Police Sector on Tuesday (16\/6\/2026) at 4 p.m. Western Indonesia\nTime. The report mentioned one injured male victim, MHA, and one female,\nUSP, as a witness present at the crime scene.<\/p>\n
Initially, the victim, who was the president director, and the\nwitness, who was a commissioner of an IT company and a colleague, were\nat the witness\u2019s residence. The witness explained that the house was\nsuddenly robbed by two people. She said the two individuals were\ninvolved in an argument with the victim on the upper floor. The witness,\nwho was on the ground floor, heard the commotion and went upstairs\ncarrying a frying pan and a stun gun for protection.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt turned out the two people had detained the victim MHA. To release\nthe victim, the witness handed over her valuables, consisting of a\n200-gram gold bar and other gold jewellery weighing approximately 300\ngrams. After the items were handed over, the two perpetrators then\ninjured MHA,\u201d Roby said.<\/p>\n
Police received this report as the initial statement from the witness\nat the scene. Subsequently, after conducting a scientific investigation,\npolice found inconsistencies in the witness\u2019s statement, the physical\nevidence, and the statements of other witnesses who were examined.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom the initial statement of witness USP, we suspected it was\nfalse. After we discovered the truth, it turned out that no two people\nhad entered the house; rather, the perpetrator of the maltreatment\ninflicted upon MHA was actually USP herself,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, police also found that a trigger for investigators\u2019\nsuspicion was the considerable time gap between the incident and the\nreport to the police. \u201cThe initial suspicion was the time of the\nincident and the time of reporting. Because the time from the incident\nuntil the witness reported it was quite long, more than one hour,\u201d Roby\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The perpetrator eventually admitted to her actions by recounting the\ntrue chronology. Roby revealed that at the time, the perpetrator and the\nvictim were alone at the perpetrator\u2019s house. The victim was staying\novernight because they had just returned from an out-of-town assignment\ntogether and were scheduled to go to Bali the next day.<\/p>\n
At that moment, the perpetrator asked the victim to hold a cloth\nconnected to an electric cable, causing him to be electrocuted and fall\nfor approximately six to eight seconds. As the victim remained\nunconscious, the perpetrator panicked and proceeded to assault the\nvictim using a nitrogen canister, a frying pan, and a knife. The victim\nsustained seven stab wounds from the incident.<\/p>\n
