        "content": "<p>Police rend passport forgery network<\/p>\n<p>SURABAYA: East Java Police have uncovered a passport forgery<br>\nsyndicate suspected of sending migrant workers abroad with false<br>\ndocuments.<\/p>\n<p>Sr. Comr. Sutarman, provincial chief of detectives, said on<br>\nTuesday that four suspects in the labor smuggling ring had been<br>\narrested following the deportation of Indonesian migrant workers<br>\nfrom the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects, identified as Damanhuri, 34, Susini, 45, Agus<br>\nWandi, 30, and Nawari, 42, confessed that they had formed two<br>\nseparate groups, one dealing in counterfeit passports and the<br>\nother finding job seekers in East Java.<\/p>\n<p>The police also confiscated 71 forged passports, 11<br>\ncitizenship cards, and bank transfer papers and other forged<br>\ndocuments believed to have been used in the scams.<\/p>\n<p>The police have continued the probe into the possible<br>\ninvolvement of local immigration office officials in the crime.<br>\n-- JP<\/p>",
