Bareskrim Polri has reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating gambling\npractices in Indonesia following the dismantling of an international\nonline gambling (judol) headquarters in the Hayam Wuruk area, Taman\nSari, West Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The Director of General Criminal Acts (Dirtipidum) of Bareskrim\nPolri, Brigadier General Pol Wira Satya Triputra, stated that the\nuncovering of the judol case in Hayam Wuruk is part of Polri\u2019s efforts\nto prevent Indonesia from becoming a breeding ground for online or\nconventional gambling syndicates.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith this uncovering, it is hoped that Indonesia will not become a\nhub for online gambling. And the Indonesian National Police is committed\nto eradicating criminal acts of gambling,\u201d Wira told reporters in the\nHayam Wuruk area, West Jakarta, on Sunday (10\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause this is very detrimental to society and can harm the\nnational economy,\u201d Wira added.<\/p>\n
In the uncovering of the judol case at an office building in the\nHayam Wuruk area, Bareskrim Polri arrested 321 individuals suspected of\nbeing involved in the international-scale judol operations.<\/p>\n
Of that number, 320 are foreign nationals (WNA), while one is an\nIndonesian citizen (WNI).<\/p>\n
The hundreds of foreign nationals are currently being held in several\ndetention houses and immigration detention rooms in West Jakarta and\nKuningan, South Jakarta, to undergo further examinations.<\/p>\n
In addition to processing the suspects, the police are still delving\ninto the network\u2019s structure and the parties suspected of controlling\nthe judol operations.<\/p>\n
Previously, it was reported that Bareskrim Polri uncovered an\ninternational online gambling practice at an office building in the\nHayam Wuruk area and secured 321 individuals suspected of involvement in\nthe operations on Saturday (9\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n
