Police question two S'poreans<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Two Singaporeans are now under police
\ninvestigation for receiving a package from overseas which contain
\nhundreds of Ecstacy pills.<\/p>\n
City Police Spokesman Lt. Col. E. Aritonang said yesterday the
\ntwo had been questioned since Monday following the police's
\nfinding on the drugs package which was sent from Singapore by an
\nairfreight cargo.<\/p>\n
The two people, identified as Richard Zheng, 46, and Hanawati,
\n35, were found in the house where the drugs package was
\naddressed, Aritonang said.<\/p>\n
\"The package was dedicated to Richard, who lives on Jl. Kawi
\n2D, Mangga Dua, Central Jakarta. Witnessed by Richard and
\nHanawati, the police opened the package on Monday. The box
\ncontain 390 Ecstacy pills stored in some chocolate candy
\npackagings,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Aritonang said both Richard and Hanawati claimed that they did
\nnot know the Singapore address from which the package came from.<\/p>\n
\"Both Richard and the woman claimed that they were set up by
\nthe third party who want them to be in trouble be sending them
\nthe drugs,\" he said.<\/p>\n
According to Aritonang, Richard was given special attention
\nbecause he actually managed a company on Jl. Pangeran Jayakarta
\nC5\/129, North Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The government regulation prohibits foreigners from directly
\npossessing or running business in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
The police were still investigating the package which sender
\naddress was not written and examining the pills which type was
\nconsidered as rare. (04)<\/p>",
