        "content": "<p>Investigators from the Cyber Crimes Directorate of Indonesia\u2019s\nNational Police have scheduled questioning of comedian Pandji\nPragiwaksono in an alleged case of ethnic insult and hate speech\ntargeting the Toraja community on Monday, 9 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This follow-up questioning comes after Pandji previously underwent\ncustomary Toraja court proceedings stemming from his controversial\nremarks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe questioning of Pandji Pragiwaksono is still scheduled,\u201d said\nKombes Rizki Agung Prakoso, Head of Section I of the Police Cyber Crimes\nDirectorate, when contacted for confirmation.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Pandji\u2019s legal representative Haris Azhar confirmed that\nPandji would attend the scheduled questioning. \u201cGod willing, he will be\npresent at 10 o\u2019clock,\u201d Haris stated.<\/p>\n<p>Pandji was previously questioned on Monday, 2 February 2026, during\nwhich he reported being asked 48 questions related to the alleged insult\nagainst the Toraja people.<\/p>\n<p>During the customary Toraja court hearing, Pandji was handed\ntraditional sanctions requiring him to offer an apology to ancestors and\npay one pig and five chickens. The sanction was issued during customary\nproceedings held at Tongkonan Layuk Kaero in Sangalla, Tana Toraja on\nTuesday, 10 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Pandji accepted the ruling gracefully and apologised to the Toraja\ncommunity. He pledged to improve himself moving forward and promised not\nto repeat similar mistakes in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Toraja Youth Alliance had reported comedian Pandji\nPragiwaksono to the National Police Criminal Investigation Directorate\nregarding allegations of ethnic insult and hate speech against the\nToraja people.<\/p>\n<p>Brigjen Himawan Bayu Aji, Director of Cyber Crime Investigations at\nthe National Police Criminal Investigation Directorate, stated that\nauthorities would consider the results of the customary Toraja court\nproceedings already undergone by Pandji in accordance with the principle\nof living law\u2014traditional law practised within communities\u2014alongside\nnational criminal law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the steps taken represent concrete actions consistent with\nliving law. Then alongside national law, we are conducting parallel\ninvestigations,\u201d he told journalists on Thursday, 26 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>For this reason, Himawan stated that the customary legal proceedings\nPandji has already completed will be considered when authorities\ndetermine whether he should be named as a suspect or whether charges can\nbe brought.<\/p>",
