        "content": "<p>Police question Bantul official<\/p>\n<p>YOGYAKARTA (JP): Bantul and Yogyakarta police investigating<br>\nthe death of Bernas journalist Fuad Mohammad Sjafruddin, known as<br>\nUdin, have questioned a close associate of Bantul regent Sri Roso<br>\nSudarmo.<\/p>\n<p>Sukrisno, the head of administration affairs in Wirokerten<br>\nvillage, was questioned for several hours. Detective Lt. Col.<br>\nErwin Tobing said several more people would also be questioned.<\/p>\n<p>Udin's death three days after he was assaulted at his home on<br>\nAug. 13, 1996 has been linked to his reports on corruption in the<br>\nregency, including the involvement of the regent himself.<\/p>\n<p>The military police have yet to question a Yoyyakarta police<br>\nofficer involved in the case, Edy Wuryanto, as demanded by the<br>\nYogyakarta Legal Aid Office (LBH).
