        "content": "<p>Police probe new corruption case<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The National Police anticorruption division is<br>\ninvestigating a new graft case at the Ministry of Religious<br>\nAffairs, involving the markup of the cost of vaccine arrangements<br>\nand insurance policies for haj pilgrims.<\/p>\n<p>Director of the anticorruption division Brig. Gen. Indarto<br>\nsaid on Tuesday that his team had started to investigate the case<br>\nas it had collected sufficient evidence for a preliminary probe.<\/p>\n<p>\"We found a possible markup in the provision of the vaccines<br>\nused for pilgrims before their pilgrimage, as well as the<br>\ninsurance policies,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, Indarto refused to disclose the names of officials<br>\ninvolved in the case nor the amount of the financial losses<br>\nsuffered by the state.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the anticorruption division is also investigating<br>\nthe alleged corruption in the management of the haj funds,<br>\nwherein at least Rp 700 billion (US$70 million) was diverted from<br>\nbank accounts. -- JP<\/p>",
