JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com \u2013 The police are still probing the truth of a\nviral social media post alleging a robbery that befell a model\nidentified by the initials ADV in the roadside area of Kebon Jeruk, West\nJakarta. Police chief of Kebon Jeruk, Kompol Nur Aqsha, said they faced\nseveral obstacles due to the lack of an official report from the victim\nand limited credible information about the scene of the incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, it is still being investigated because we have not found a\nclear source, who uploaded the first A1 source and the chronology. It is\nstill being investigated,\u201d Aqsha told Kompas.com by phone on Tuesday (19\nMay 2026).<\/p>\n
When asked about the possibility of officers proactively visiting the\nvictim\u2019s home, Aqsha said that could not be done yet because the model\u2019s\nexact identity is still unknown.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, we do not yet know who the victim is; is it really her or who,\nyou know. We must confirm that the information is valid or not. Not yet\ncertain, so we are still conducting the inquiry,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut we must address public concerns, because it has spread widely.\nWhether it is true or not, we must provide an answer,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Aqsha also stressed that his team had checked at Rumah Sakit Sumber\nWaras, where the victim was said to be treated after a head injury from\na stabbing. The investigation found no medical records for the named\nvictim.<\/p>\n
Similar statements were made by the Head of Public Relations at Polda\nMetro Jaya, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto. He confirmed that the Criminal\nInvestigation Unit [Satreskrim] of Metro Jakarta Barat and Kebon Jeruk\nPolice had verified with the hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also visited Rumah Sakit Sumber Waras to verify its truth. From\nthe preliminary checks, there is no patient data under the name\nmentioned in the post within the last month,\u201d Budi said.<\/p>\n
Kebon Jeruk Police had also sought assistance from the cybercrime\nteam at Metro Jakarta Barat in tracing the digital footprint of the\nviral post and contacting the authors of the threads, but there has been\nno response to date.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have also asked for assistance and handed it to the Polres; the\ncyber team to try to see who uploaded it to verify,\u201d Aqsha said.<\/p>\n
