        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2013 The National Police (Polri) are preparing\npeople-centred services and medical support to oversee demonstrations\ntaking place at various locations across Indonesia, including Bundaran\nHI in Central Jakarta, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Polri Public Relations Division head Inspector General Johnny Eddizon\nIsir said the force would prioritise a humane and professional approach\nin serving members of the public expressing their opinions in\npublic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are ensuring that all personnel on duty understand procedures,\nrespect the public\u2019s rights and continue to prioritise everyone\u2019s\nsafety,\u201d he said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Isir said the number of personnel deployed would be adjusted to the\nneeds and specific circumstances in each area. Each regional police\nforce has the authority to determine staffing levels based on an\nassessment of conditions on the ground and service requirements.<\/p>\n<p>For the operation, Polri is optimising its operational, training and\noversight functions, as well as providing health and medical\nsupport.<\/p>\n<p>Isir said medical assistance would be available to both demonstrators\nand officers on duty. If any demonstrators require medical attention,\nPolri\u2019s medical services are ready to provide assistance according to\nneeds on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPolri is here to provide services so that the expression of opinions\ncan take place safely and comfortably, while respecting everyone\u2019s\nrights,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He also called on all sections of the public to help maintain\nsecurity and public order so that demonstrations could proceed\npeacefully, with dialogue, mutual respect and compliance with applicable\nregulations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe urge everyone to express their aspirations peacefully, orderly\nand responsibly,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
