Police officers held for drug<\/p>\n
PALU, Central Sulawesi: The Central Sulawesi provincial police
\nare questioning two police officers over drug charges.<\/p>\n
The two police officers in question were Adj. Sr. Comr. Ndang
\nSupriatna, the deputy head of the provincial's police traffic
\ndivision, and Adj. Sr. Comr. Suko Haradi, the head of the
\nCriminal Analysis Division at the provincial police.<\/p>\n
"They are being questioned after they were spotted recently in
\na room at a night spot here where a drug party was being held,"
\nsaid Brig. Gen. Taufik Ridha, chief of the provincial police, on
\nThursday.<\/p>\n
Besides the two officers, the provincial police force also
\nnabbed three other police officers in the party.<\/p>\n
They were First. Insp. Sentot, the deputy head of the
\nprovincial police force's intelligence division, First. Insp.
\nSyamsu, the chief of intelligence section at the Palu police
\nprecinct and First. Insp. Simangunsong, an officer with the
\nintelligence division at the Central Sulawesi provincial police.<\/p>\n
The three confessed that they consumed shabu-shabu (crystal
\namphetamine) in the party, but they quickly defended that it was
\npart of their undercover investigation, said Taufik.<\/p>\n
However, Taufik said that they still violated the law, because
\nthey had consumed drug, and therefore, they had to be punished.<\/p>\n
The one-star police general said that the three had been
\nremoved from their posts and had been given no positions. He did
\nnot go into details whether the three would face legal
