Police have intervened to investigate the phenomenon of recurring\nfires at the home of Mutfia, also known as Fia, in Seyegan, Sleman. The\ninvestigation was launched after UPN and UGM declared that the\nmysterious fires were not a natural phenomenon.<\/p>\n
Sleman Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, AKP Mateus Wiwit\nKustiyadi, stated that his team will seek to determine whether there was\nany element of intent in the incident. \u201cLater, whether there are things\nbeyond natural phenomena, we will still gather information so that the\nfacts will be revealed after this,\u201d Wiwit said when met at the Sleman\nRegent\u2019s Office on Monday (15\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
His party has not yet conducted an investigation regarding the\npossibility of criminal elements in this case. Police are still working\nto uncover the facts on the ground. \u201cIn this case, we are looking for\nfacts. Where will these facts lead us? So, we are gathering the facts\nthat exist in the field,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Previously, the Chief Executive of the Sleman Regional Disaster\nManagement Agency (BPBD), Bambang Kuntoro, delivered the final research\nresults regarding the mysterious \u2018Fire House\u2019 phenomenon in Seyegan.\nBambang stated that the conclusion is that the appearance of the\nmysterious fires has no connection to natural phenomena.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe essence is that from the fire phenomenon that appeared in\nSeyegan, based on the research results all conveyed earlier, there is no\nconnection (to natural phenomena) with the fire that appeared. Natural\nphenomena do not cause the fires that appeared in Seyegan,\u201d Bambang told\nreporters at the Sleman Regent\u2019s Office on Monday (15\/6).<\/p>\n
In the statement delivered, no strong evidence was found that the\nfire appeared naturally. Based on sample tests of fire residue from the\nscene conducted by UGM, the analysis associated the residue with the\npresence of PVC resin, which is flammable when it encounters a source of\nfire.<\/p>\n
Based on the results of field geological observations and geophysical\nstudies conducted by UPN \u2018Veteran\u2019 Yogyakarta, no relationship was found\nbetween the recurring fire incidents and the surrounding geological\nconditions or the presence of gas bubbles in the Nepen River.<\/p>\n
